This weekend I perused the stalls at the Christmas Market, Marchés de Noël, at Place Massena in Nice with Jen. This market is amazing. People come from all over the world to experience Christmas markets in France and other parts of Europe. The crafts-goods-merchandise are so beautiful, the atmosphere is convivial and the scene is spectacular. The artisans are set up in cabin-style storefronts and there is an ice skating rink set up, a Ferris wheel, and of course lots of food – I actually ate churros for the first time during this outing. I was so happy to see that the guy who made the metal sculpture works I’d admired on an earlier visit to Cannes had a stall (his sculptures are amazing!).
Mid-week Marthe, Alex and some others met up at a pub to enjoy some karaoke night performances. It was all about letting go and having fun. It was a blast.
